Katy, short for Kathryn, is Sebastian's first born. From the moment she was born she has had the attitude "you may look upon me now", hence the name Her Royal Highness.
Katy is beautifully balanced, excellent front and rear angulation, nice topline and head, with fluid movement. Co-Bred/Co-owned with Haileta "Joni" Willing of Innisfield Labradors.
Katy produced her first litter in 1995, giving Sebastian his first grandchildren. This litter sired by Am/Can CH ShaRay's Royal Heir, WC, CGC produced an extremely consistent and typey litter. BreLan Squire to Sebastian,WC, Sean is from this litter. Ten weeks after giving birth to this litter she earned her first qualifying JH wing.
Katy completed her JH title in four back to back tests, she also earned more championship points in the remainder of 1995. She has been in the show ring and is in training for her SH. She is now minor pointed out needing only two 3-pt. majors to finish her AKC championship.
Katy delivered her second litter, September 29, 1997. This litter was sired by ShaRay Custom Made, JH, WC, CGC, Adam, a son of Am/Can CH ShaRay's Royal Heir, JH, WC, CGC. We again were thrilled with this beautiful litter.
Katy was taken from us all too soon on January 5, 2002. We lost her quickly to liver cancer. Grateful she did not suffer long it was still an incredible loss to lose one in the prime of their life.
Katy Katy pretty lady ... we held you as you took your first breath and your last. We will never forget the beauty and grace you brought to our lives. Nor your graceful ambassadorship with which you represented us, a wonderful representation of the truest of Labrador temperaments.
